The shield is a difficult pattern to write. Please look closely at the drawing and the picture. I hope it helps.
Shield blanket
Start with White yarn
ch 4. Join with a slst to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc throughout the pattern), work 11 dc in ring (12 dc). Join with a slst in the top of ch 2 (join like this throughout the pattern).
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around, make an extra dc in the last st (25 dc). Join with a slst.
Now start with the points of the star
Rnd 3: [Ch 6, 1 sc in the first chain after your hook, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dtr, skip 3 st from Rnd 2, 2 sc] repeat 4 more times, join with a slst.
Finish off and remove the remaining yarn.
Use blue yarn. Pick up a stitch where you’ve finished the previous Rnd.
Rnd 4: Ch 4, 1 dtr, 1, tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 4 x [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 4 dtr, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc], 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 2 dtr. Join with a slst (60)
Finish off and remove the remaining yarn.
Use Red yarn, and pick up a st in the first st of the previous Rnd.
Rnd 5: Ch 2, 1 dc in same st, ch 1, skip 1 st, [2 dc in next st, ch 1, skip 1 st] repeat around, join with a slst. (90)
Rnd 6: Ch 3, [3 dc in the ch, ch 1] repeat around end with 2 dc in the last ch. Join. (120)
Finish off and remove the remaining yarn.
Use White yarn, and pick up a st in the first st of the previous Rnd.
Rnd 7: Ch 2, [3 dc in the ch, ch 2] repeat around end with 2 dc in the last ch. Join. (150)
Rnd 8: Ch 4, [3 dc in the ch, ch 2] repeat around end with 2 dc in the last ch. Join. (150)
Finish off and remove the remaining yarn.
Use Red yarn, and pick up a st in the first st of the previous Rnd.
Rnd 9: Ch 2, [4 dc in the ch, ch 2] repeat around end with 2 dc in the last ch. Join. (180)

Nose
Use blue yarn.

Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the nose on the head in the middle of the color change.
Left wing on helmet
Use White yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring, close with 1 slst
Rnd 2: Ch 5, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 3 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Ch 4, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 2 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Ch 3, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 1 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the left wing on the head.
Right wing on helmet
Use White yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring, close with 1 slst
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 1 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Ch 4, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 2 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Ch 5, 1 slst in the first ch after your hook, 3 slst. 1 slst in the next st of the magic ring.
Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the right wing on the head.
Arms (2x)
Use Blue yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring
Rnd 2: [1 inc] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, 1 dec] x 4 (8)
Rnd 4-8: 8 sc (8)
Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the arms on the bottom of the head.
Don’t forget to sew a little mouth with some leftover black yarn.
And sew the letter A in front of the helmet.
