Basket wide
Start at the bottom of the basket

Rnd 2: 1 inc x 8 (16)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, 1 inc] x 8 (24)

Rnd 8-10: BLO 56 sc (56)

Rnd 12: BLO 10 sc, 12 sc on the chain, 20 sc, 12 sc on the chain, 10 sc

Basket tight
Start at the bottom of the basket. The bottom is made with only Double Crochets

If you want to make an egg that’s a bit fatter, you can modify the pattern by deleting Rnd 3 and change Rnd 4 into:
Rnd 4: [1 sc, 1 inc] x 3 (18)
