— PATTERN —
The basic ripple blanket is based on Celeste Young Designs Rainbow Ripple Baby blanket. It’s a very easy to use pattern. I’ll try to explain it as simple as possible.
Ripple blanket
Start with black yarn
ch 4. Join with a slst to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc throughout the pattern), work 11 dc in ring (12 dc). Join with a slst in the top of ch 2 (join like this throughout the pattern).
Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around (24 dc). Join.
Rnd 3: Ch 2, [skip next dc, work (dc, ch 2, dc) in next dc] Repeat around, ending with dc in first stitch, ch 2. Join.
Rnd 4: Slst, slst into ch 2 space, “ch 2, dc, ch 2, 2 dc” in ch 2 space, [“2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc” in next ch 2 space] Repeat around. Join
Rnd 5: Slst, ch 2, [“2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc” in ch 2 space, dc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next st.] Repeat around. Join.
