Some people have difficulties with the STREAK in the belt of my Space Monkey pattern.
I hope you’ll find the belt much easier with this photo tutorial.
The utility belt of Space Monkey is made with Stylecraft Graphite, for these pictures I’ve used green cotton.
In the pattern it’s described like this:
1 STREAK: 1sc in the front loop, leaving the last loop on your hook. Continue with 1sc in the front loop of each of the previous three rounds, keeping the last loops on your hook until you have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through the first 4 loops, then yarn over and pull through the last two loops.
Here’s a more detailed description
First place your hook in the front loop like in the picture, downwards.
Pick up your yarn and pull it through the front loop. But leave the loop on your hook.
Repeat these steps with the remaining front loops of the previous 3 rounds until you end up with 5 loops on your hook.
Now pick up your yarn and pull it through the first 4 loops on your hook.
At the end pick up your yarn and pull it through the last two loops on your hook.
Now you’ve made your first STREAK. Repeat these steps two more times and you have your cool utility belt for Space Monkey.
I hope these photo’s make it easier for you to finish Space Monkey’s pattern.
Enjoy!
